DESCRIPTION:It’s not often that you get to meet and hear from industry professionals that made the things that changed your life and the lives of others. Mike Shebanek is one of these people. Mike Shebanek is a 19-year veteran of Apple and as a Senior Product Manager was the leader behind such iconic milestones at Apple like the Bondi Blue iMac\, the transition of PowerPC to Intel processors\, the first Rosetta binary translator that enabled Mac apps written for PowerPC to run seamlessly on Intel Macs\, Apple Dashboard Widgets (the precursor to iPhone apps)\, Boot Camp\, and one of his most crowning achievements VoiceOver—a screen reader built into Mac OS and every new iPod\, iPhone\, and iPad making it possible for people to use these devices without seeing the screen—leading Mike to become the product manager and head of Accessibility at Apple for 5 years. \nMike served as product manager of iOS and iPadOS and helped Apple successfully launch the original iPad and its successors\, which as you know helped revolutionize mobile computing. Mike\, recently retired from Meta in 2024\, would love to join us and speak on these many milestones\, devices\, technologies\, and personally answer your questions.
