With the generous upgrade offer by Apple on my M1 iPad Pro 12.9” (5th gen), I will will pick up the new 13” model, 512 gb with new Pencil Pro next week. M4 chip, thinner, lighter, OLED 13” screen, this I’ll be a good upgrade to use with iPadOS 18. Been using iPad now for 7 years as a substitute for a computer and have never looked back. Not a keyboard user, simply enjoy touch computing to the max. Would be fun to have a Mac but why?

Thinking of an iPad Pro? … Not me! … I am super disappointed to have to wait even more time for an iPad mini 7…. My 11-year-old mini 2, with it’s last 12.5.7 operating system, has done me well, but is struggling through its last days (needs charging three times a day to keep going on its original battery.)

You are not. I handed down my 2018 3rd generation iPad Pro to my daughter and ordered a new one. Seemed like the right time to upgrade.

Not I. My M1 iPad Air 5 is quite adequate for my iPad needs.

I am deciding between the 13″ Pro and the Air. Not sure the difference in cost is worthwhile for me as I don’t generally do filming or photos on my iPad – I use my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Some of the items are worthwhile and some appear to be overkill. I plan to take my time making the decision.
