I have a hotmail email address. It shows in my mail in three places. “all boxes”. “in box” under iCloud and “inbox” under hotmail. Suddenly my mail will randomly disappear and I will have to close and reopen. Sometimes if I scroll down too fast it dissappears. I got an email from Microsoft (monthly reminder) which I’ve never gotten before that one or more of my folders is named incorrectly. The one that the list I can’t access because it disappeared. I know you can’t use symbols, slashes etc. and I haven’t. I don’t have any idea how to rectify this issue. Anyone have the same issue? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Janet Remer

If you view hotmail in a browser tab, set up apple mail and add the hotmail account where it will work much better. If you pay microsoft their $2/month ransom they claim it will work better although you can just use wipr or ublock origin to kill the adds.

Failing the above, in hotmail website settings forward your mail to your icloud email and delete from hotmail. Then access icloud mail in apple mail which works beautifully and does not trigger security lockdowns by MS for using a vpn.
