      Migrating from 27-inch iMac (2019, Sonoma) to M4 Mac Mini (Sequoia) has been a headache. Migration Assistant worked on one user profile and failed several times on the 2nd user profile. Apps and settings seemed to transfer OK, but data files would not. Apple Support repeated the process with same results and ultimately recommended downloading data files from iCloud. Now in my 4th day, total storage on MacHD is up 250 GB, User account is down 430 GB, and Documents is down 30 GB.

      What is happening to my data, how do I fix it, and how will be confident that all is OK?
