Photos taken on my wife’s iPhone X have stopped showing up on the Photos app on her MacBook. The applied is the same on all her devices as well as iCloud. How can I fix this?

      • Hi Sanford – no expert, and I hope other more knowledgeable members may answer your question, but I would try the following:

        1. On the phone, go to Settings > Your name > iCloud > make sure that Photos is switched on. Also, check that the MacBook and iPhone are signed in to the same account.

        2. Turn iCloud off and on again. This practise sometimes seems to jump-start the transfer of items (https://www.lifewire.com/turn-off-icloud-on-iphone-4580233).

        • Try attaching both devices to power. I’ve noticed that sometimes syncing automatically pauses when one or both devices are running on battery.

          • I’ve also noticed that I have to go into PHOTOS, go to the bottom of my library, and click SYNC with iCloud. The SYNC function may be paused.

            • I was able to correct this by going to the settings in Photos. Somehow the connection of library for Photos had disconnected from the cloud and when I reauthorized it, syncing then happened with all of the photos in iCloud synced with the MacBookAir.
