What to Expect:
In this talk, TidBITS publisher Adam Engst will explore the evolving landscape of backups and what is relevant today. He’ll cover the advantages of versioned backups, duplicates, and online backups, as well as the role of bootable duplicates and cloud storage in a comprehensive backup strategy. If there’s interest, he’ll also discuss the specifications needed for a “fireproof” safe—what protects paper may not necessarily safeguard data.
