I thought people here might find this interesting == I have a Mail mailbox with about 410 emails in it of various receipts over the past half year. I exported the mailbox in three ways: the usual mbox export, an RTF export via Save As and Export to PDF.

I have found that the PDF exports always seem to stop at 100 or so, so did not expect to get much more. I did think the RTF file would be complete.

I asked Claude Ai if it could put these emails in order and ‘he’ [it] said it could so I started with the RTF and got a pretty good spreadsheet with just the information I wanted – for March through June. Then I asked if it could do the same thing with an mbox file and the answer was yes. So I uploaded the mbox file = Claude came up with a much more extensive spreadsheet of information from late 2025 to now. It did the full spreadsheet and then also did a separate table of what was not in the RTF file.

I haven’t done the deep dive into the data but I certainly expect the mbox conversion to be just what I need.
