ago and now started again. This is something which happens occasionally = and it. Happens when I send emails by iCloud account. Any ideas as to what’s going on??? What’s odd is it says DKIM signed ok and then it is bounced.

      <*******@gmail.com>:
      DKIM signed ok
172.253.115.26 failed after I sent the message.

          • So the NMUG AI said this:

If you are using an @icloud.com email address and receiving bounce-back messages when sending emails, this issue typically isn’t related to DKIM and SPF settings because these are managed by Apple for their iCloud mail service.

However, the error message you’re encountering suggests that Gmail is identifying issues with the email you sent, specifically regarding authentication. Even though you’re using iCloud, the problem can sometimes arise due to a mismatch between the sending mail server’s identity and the email headers. Here’s what you can do:

            1. Check Your Sent Mail: Ensure that you are sending your email from a valid iCloud account and that the ‘From’ address in your email client is correctly set to your @icloud.com address.

            2. Review Email Content: Sometimes, the content or attachments in an email can trigger spam filters or cause emails to be rejected.

            3. Update Mail Client: If you are using a mail client other than Mail.app on your iOS or macOS device, ensure it is updated to the latest version.

            4. Check for Aliases: If you are using any email aliases with your iCloud account, make sure that they are set up correctly.

            5. Re-authenticate Your iCloud Account: Sometimes signing out of iCloud and signing back in can resolve authentication issues. You mentioned iCloud, so let’s give this a try:

              • On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app.
              • Tap on your Apple ID at the top.
              • Scroll down and tap on ‘Sign Out.’
              • Restart your device.
              • Go back to Settings, tap ‘Sign in to your [device],’ and enter your Apple ID and password.

If the problem persists after trying these steps, you may want to reach out to Apple Support for further help as they can provide more detailed guidance specific to iCloud service issues.

            Thumbs Up
